The Brief

My course brief for this ‘Interaction’ unit is to work with a partner outside of the course, and come up with creative ideas for the chosen partner, working with the theme of recycling/sustainability. Personally, I have decided to use the outlet of Advertising for this project as I feel it is my strong point.
We will research, then meet and speak with four different companies. After this we will decide who we’ll be working with, and will be setting up and recording meetings with our partner and keeping them updated on the progress of our work. We will have several meetings with them, and from these we will use their feedback to further our research and make drafts of our final product, eventually completing it and displaying it to them.
As the main reason for the project is to further our skills in interaction, we will be keeping in constant contact with our partner, through emails. We will record these as evidence and it will also help our partner to know where we are in the project and if we need any input from them.
The four companies are- Bath College, Oxfam, Bristol Scrapstore, and B.A.N.E.S recycling.
My idea for the project is a poster advertisement or an animation following the same theme. I will be creating them for the purpose of making the idea of recycling well known, and to let the public know of how many different things can be recycled. BANES are also bringing out a new food recycling campaign, so I thought my ideas could reflect that and help advertise it. I feel this follows the theme of sustainability as the aim of the food waste program is to use the waste as compost and to generally recycle it.
