Summary of client needs for project
My client’s brief was short, and simply entailed that he wished my product to be an advertisement for recycling. The main requirements are that it follows the same theme as the other advertisements for the company. I will have to do some research to see what this exactly entails. Seeing as the brief is so basic, the target audience will depend on how I choose to design my advertisement.

Idea for product
My idea for the product is to create a poster for food recycling. I’m not sure on the finer points yet but I will put recycling in a good light and I think a poster would be a good way to portray my ideas. Either that or a leaflet that will be informative for homeowners who were perhaps unaware of how many things are recyclable.

Outline of viability of product
I will be able to ensure that my product is suitable for it’s purpose by doing a lot of planning and research and designing it so that the meaning is not lost. I will be making the point of the advertisement very obvious so that all ages will be able to understand it and it will be suitable for any environment. I think this is important because it will be the most beneficial method for the company.

Resources required
I will not need many resources to complete my product. I assume that I will be taking my own photographs for the content of the poster and will be using my computer for the research and editing, using photoshop.

Potential difficulties
There are a few issues that could arise when creating my poster, but not major ones. The only problems I can think of are that I may be unable to collect the materials needed for taking my photographs and creating the advertisement, but seeing as I do not yet know the content of the poster/leaflet, I think these issues will be easy to avoid with the right amount of planning.

Health and Safety issues
There are not many dangers that I will face when creating my product, but all my time will be spent on the computer during this project as I will be researching then editing. So the main things to consider will be to have regular breaks so I'm not on the computer for a solid block of time. Also regular hazards such as not eating and drinking near the computers.
