Following are the minutes from my groups first meeting with the B.A.N.E.S representative. The meeting consisted of us being introduced, explaining the brief, and telling him our basic ideas.
Summary Minutes of the meeting between BANES representative and City of Bath College students
Held on Wednesday 23rd June at 2.00pm
In City of Bath College, Room H108
BANES representative
Timothy Rawlings
City of Bath College students
Oliver Drew
Harriet Page
Tim Rawlings greeted us and introduced himself. We then asked Tim if he had set any particular brief for us, to which he replied that we may choose any form of media outlet, as long as it advertised the BANES company in some way.
Oliver decided to advertise the company via a film or an advert. He would use stopmotion animation and follow the life of a container/item as it goes from the store, to a home, then to a recycling centre, then showing how it can be reused, to explain sustainability to people who are unaware. Tim thought this was a good idea and offered to show Oliver around the recycling centre to aid his project.
Harriet was going to raise awareness for BANES through advertising. She would use the format of a poster to advertise either the things BANES can recycle, or the amount that can be recycled but isn't. Both ideas would incorporate the new food waste system that not many people are aware of. For this reason Tim thought it would help the company and alert the public of the things BANES can do.
Tim said we should improve on these ideas and develop them further, then make another date for the next meeting so he could see our progress.
The meeting minutes have been recorded clearly. You will be able to use these to ensure that you are following the brief as you progress with project.
