Love Food Hate Waste

Love Food, Hate Waste is a campaign launched by the 'Waste & Resources Action Programme'. It claims to have helped around two million households reduce their food waste and stopping 137,000 tonnes of waste, and is supported by many 'green' sites.
The site has also encouraged a UK minister to end the 'Use by date' on products as he regards them as one of the main causes of food waste. These are to be replaced by new temperature-indicating technologies.
The Love Food, Hate Waste website has many tips on how to save leftovers and cooked food etc, from the public and contributors, and some messages from professional chefs saying how best to use your leftover food. There are also facts on how much money you could save, and how much you'd stop from being wasted if you joined the campaign, for encouragement.
I contacted my partner about Love Food, Hate Waste as I had seen the logo featured on a lot of B.A.N.E.S advertisements and decided to look into it.
I decided to include the Love Food, Hate Waste logo on my poster, as according to my partner, B.A.N.E.S support them and it would be good to include them in the new food-based collection.

  1. This is a very relevant campaign to research. You have noted design rules that you will need to apply such as logos etc.
