Ideas For Recycling

I brainstormed some ideas for recycling and the general topic of sustainability so that I would have a basis to do my research on, and also so it might inspire me for the main theme of my advert for whichever company I chose. My ideas are as follows:

• Recycling needs more advertising, especially to appeal to the younger generation, who will make a difference.
• Make plastic cutlery reusable, as it doesn't need to be recycled.
• Use more compact packaging, so less unnecessary cardboard etc is wasted.
• Vans that deliver food and products should use eco-fuel etc. as to stop polluting the environment.
• Use cardboard instead of plastic for packaging so that it can be reused, which could also be more compact.
• Sustainability. Some companies should set the example of giving back to the environment.
• Research into different companies- fast food, restaurants, and supermarkets, to see what they’re doing for recycling, and how they can improve.
• Examples of what they could do to improve their waste management, and look into the origin of the manufacture of the materials used, and to prioritise the costs spent on recyclable things.
• Ethics- information and leaflets on land-fills, the effects not recycling has on the environment, moral values, and appeal to the public via petitions and protests.
• Use sustainable energy (i.e solar power instead of nuclear energy) use turbines etc.
• Use different communication methods to raise awareness of the negative effects that not recycling has on the environment.
• Companies such as McDonalds and Burger King should have their toys included in their meal boxes made out of recycled material.
• Advertising on the packaging to encourage people to recycle, and to look into which companies display whether or not they recycle on their packaging
